Case Management is a proactive and integrated approach to assessing sickness absence of employees in the workplace. Occupational Health Nurse Specialist supports employers to reduce their workforce sickness absences by performing a bio-psycho-social assessment, using case management processes, and offering impartial advice.
WORK HEALTH ASSESSMENT
Occupational Health Nurse Specialists assess employees’ capabilities and fitness to undertake a particular role by using a variety of health assessment processes. The main purpose of the assessment is to advise employers on preventing work-related illnesses, injuries, and the spread of disease or infection.
VACCINATION
Vaccination is a simple, safe, and effective way of protecting employees against harmful diseases before they come into contact with them. It uses the body’s natural defences to build resistance to specific infections and makes the immune system stronger. Vaccines train the immune system to create antibodies, just as it does when it’s exposed to a disease. However, because vaccines contain only killed or weakened forms of germs like viruses or bacteria, they do not cause the disease or put employees at risk of its complications.

A DSE assessment is a Display Screen Equipment assessment. It involves assessing the risk involved with using screens in a working environment. Every workstation within an office should be risk assessed to reduce the number of hazards involved. The main objective of a DSE Assessment is to ensure that a person’s workstation is set up for their specific use and to encourage them to change their postures, reduce fatigue and strains to the body while carrying out necessary tasks
